At 7months, lil X celebrated his first Christmas and received so much love and gifts this very merry season!
As per our annual family tradition, we gathered for our Xmas party at Rachel’s beautiful home. But this year was made extra special with Michelle, Gabriel and Lucas joining us!! This is definitely a highlight as they reside in Japan and we only have them with us once or twice a year! Though we’re still missing Terry-San…
It was our first time ordering our food from Amici and though the portions were disappointing and definitely smaller than what we were expecting, the food was quite tasty and I loved the bird (roasted turkey) and the Xmas-sy dishes just felt right!
Mom also made Devil’s eggs which was even nicer than last year’s version.
After dinner, we had a time of gift exchange!
And my Secret Santa this year was… Daddy!! Loved the Charles & Keith sandal that I received. Though Mom lamented that it was she who chose the gift and that next year’s exchange should come with a rule that gifts should be bought personally and without help.. 😁 Haha…
Deja-vu happened when Ken & Mom were again (like last year) the Secret Santa’s for each other… What are the odds!
It is also our tradition to draw lots for 1 person to buy a special Bonus Gift for a lucky undisclosed person. And this year, Michelle was sent from Japan to have that lucky(or unlucky!) honor! Guess who won it?!
After the adults gift exchange, it was the kiddies turn!
With 5 kids, it took a production line style to give out all the gifts! From eldest to youngest, they’d take turns to receive gifts and take photos with grandpa, grandma, Dayi, Eryi, me and Xiaoyi. Then find a corner of the house to open their gifts and go gaga over them! Haha!
While all these were happening, guess where my lil baby was?
So we waited til he woke up for his turn..
The lil boy received so many gifts that night and this Xmas… I pray he’ll come to know how blessed he is and never take it for granted!
The night ended perfectly with a few rounds of ‘Undercover’ game that brought on much laughter and joy! We left with our stomachs full & hearts overflowing with precious memories made! No wonder Xmas is my all time favorite season of the year!
