It’s barely been 2weeks since Mich, Terry and kids are back but we’ve already had so much fun and ‘excursions’!
When we heard about ‘A Universal Christmas’ at Universal Studios Singapore, we knew it was a must go and they didn’t disappoint…
The holiday season was on full throttle once we stepped into the magical land. From the interactive Santa’s Workshop, to upbeat songs from Oscar & our favourite Sesame Street friends and Puss In The Boots, every corner was filled with a fresh touch of Christmas surprise!
Our 1st stop was this stroller rental which proved to be worth every penny! The kids sat on them most of the times other than to queue for rides and watch performances. Rather than 5 kids on the loose, running all over the place in different directions, we gladly pushed these wheels around! Thereafter, it’s Starbucks for the adults to grab sustainance for the day….
We went on a weekend during holiday season, so it was a tad crowded with rides averaging 30-40mins wait time. So we mainly took 3-4 rides, posed for pics and ate/drank lots!
Axl freaked out a little on some of the rides and almost backed out at the last minute. But after lots of distraction and him clutching on to me like a hawk, he completed the rides without any tears or screams. He tried face painting too (see if you can spot the eagle), though he squirmed through it halfway. Thus explains the very incomplete, bald eagle.
But all in all, Axl had so so much fun with his cousins.
As for Alexa, this lil baby slept through most of the day. In fact, she was very much part of the entertainment of the day and kept the kids occupied in between, often fussing over her. Especially between her brother and sweet cousin Gabriel, they literally treat her like royalty… simply adoring her to bits, petting her, being her bodyguard and escorting her pram. 😂
We really wanted to stay late to catch their main Christmas highlight ‘Search for A Christmas Star’; an after-dark performance with aerial acrobatics, special effects, projection mapping and snowfall. So instead of the usual times where we started our day once the doors opened in the morning, we planned to start comfortably midday at 3pm. With the perfect weather on our side, it was a really good move as the kids were able to last through til night which ended perfectly with Santa’s sleigh parade!
Thank you so much Universal Studios Singapore for having us!!
If you’re looking to bask in some Christmas cheer, do head on to ‘A Universal Christmas’ before 1 January 2018!
AXL’S FAVE CHARACTER OF THE DAY WAS THIS LOVELY CANDY CANE GIRL!
