With the recent furore over the rising cost of infant formula, it got me thinking about the choice of formula brand we’ve been using for Axl.
To be honest, we chose it simply because it was the popular choice when we asked around our friends and family members. And like them, as with any good parent, we all want only the best for our precious baby. We had subconsciously adopted the mindset that since it is one of the more expensive brands, it must be very good for baby and ignored the steep rise in costs over the years. 😅
When I started looking around to educate myself more about the infant formulas around, I was introduced to a new formulated and made in Singapore brand of milk powder, Einmilk.
They recently launched a new range of formula milk powder to cater to the growing need for affordable, quality formula milk. Made from 100% fresh milk from New Zealand, it meets the manufacturing standards by Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) and is available in four formulations to provide essential nutrients at each stage of a child’s development:
• Stage 1 (0 to 6 months)
• Stage 2 (6 to 12 months)
• Stage 3 (12 months onwards)
• Lactose-Free (for babies and children of all ages who are lactose intolerant)
Einmilk is manufactured by one of Asia’s leading Food Ingredient Blenders with operations in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), children as young as six months can start on solid foods to get the vital nutrients needed for healthy growth in addition to milk.
As parents and caregivers look at incorporating solids into their child’s diet, Einmilk brings value to families by providing the following essential nutrients like Calcium, Iron, Zinc and Vitamins. It’s ingredients list also includes Taurine, DHA & ARA, FOS, Nucleotides, Skimmed Milk Powder, Vegetable Oil Blend, Lactose, Demineralized Whey Powder, Whey Protein Concentrate Powder, Minerals and Vitamins. (For the full ingredient list, please visit: http://www.einmilk.com/products.php#our-ingredients)
Einmilk costs between S$19 and S$22 for a 400g tin and between S$33 and S$39 for an 800g tin, they are committed to provide quality at an affordable price.
I’m really thankful for the Stage 3 samples given, as one of my biggest concerns introducing a new formula to Axl when he has been so accustomed to the milk’s taste, was whether he would like it. But my fears were totally unfounded when I spied on him gulping down the entire bottle of Einmilk in no time! Yay!
